You’re allowed to want better for yourself.

When I felt super stuck in my accounting job that I loathed, the only thing I knew for sure is what I didn’t want to do with the rest of my life (hint: accounting). This feeling was overwhelming and brought on panic attacks sometimes.

What I describe below is exactly the reason why I got into the coaching business – to help people eradicate this feeling from their lives. Plain and simple, it’s not fun to be miserable.

This is the perspective:

  • You feel like you’re out of control
  • You feel like you want to make your own decisions
  • You want to make things happen in your life

Like you dream of. Whether it’s a big dream or a little dream – a daydream – you want to be able to make it happen, to have the time, the autonomy, the energy, and to be able to make those choices. Not just make them but implement them and carry them out and do it again if you like it.

You’re in a space, and you’ve been in this space for a while, where you feel like so much of your life is just about giving. It’s just giving away and giving away and it’s supposed to make you feel good.

But you feel guilty because you don’t feel good about constantly giving your time away to things that you don’t want to give it to. Like, the job that you hate; like, the responsibility you took on but it doesn’t match who you are; like, the tasks you did earlier this week that drove you mad.

You want to be focused on yourself. You want to be making your own decisions. You want to be autonomous. You want to call the shots. You want to be the CEO of your own life.

You want to have the vision. You want to have the resources. You want to have the ability to make things grow and manifest the things that you actually dream of, like a CEO does.

A CEO has dreams for their company but not just that, they have the ability to actually take action and lead and direct the energy of the organization to be able to achieve that goal.

You need to be able to do that within yourself. You need to be able to harness your own energy, your own inspiration, your own drive, and actually make things happen like you want for yourself, your family, and for the rest of the people around you.

You want things to be better for not just other people, but also for yourself. That is okay. It is okay. There is nothing selfish about that. You are allowed to want better for yourself. You are allowed to be filled to the brim, totally fulfilled, and be able to show up and give with the most energy, because you are super stoked about your life!

Tonight, I took my fine ass out for a date with myself.

Well, it was actually a date with San Diego.

Because, I’ve been called back to Utah. I knew intuitively I would be in Utah mid-January, but I refused to release San Diego at first.

It took me a while to trust my intuition in general, and every day I am getting better and better, deeper and deeper. I’m getting better and better at shifting into this mindset every day.

I’m going after miracles in 2022. I’m going full release on my limitations and going bigger on my dreams. I’m trying something wildly, radically fucking different and I am so stoked for it.

I have always lived life by my own rules. And I don’t mean I’ve never faced hardship or everything was handed to me.
I mean I create my own paradigm and use my unique, divine power within to manifest and create my own magic.

I get the things I dream of and wish for because I take the steps, my steps, every day consistently. I take the steps that the Universe, God, the Divine Power, has placed within my “knower” and spoken to me through my intuition.

That’s what I do.

Any questions?

HOW BORING!

I’m writing this after taking a boring-ass CPE to keep my license in public accounting. Trust me, I have no intention of being an accountant ever again, but… Why does this seem to be so normal?

In the business world, we tend to kill the magic. We squash the excitement – unless we have the right leadership.

So hey – you’ve been pretty aware of different leadership styles and company cultures over the years, if not to plan how you are going to be an incredible leader when it’s your time, then it’s to keep yourself motivated to leave the company (one day…).

Aren’t you ready to leave that boring old job or career that you hate? How long are you going to stick around anyway?

Oh, okay you are on a big project, but you know you’re just a number to them, right? Sure, the people on your team will have to pick up the dropped ball, but it’s not your responsibility to sacrifice your incredible life to the company that doesn’t treat you well. They don’t pay you enough; they ask for more and more of your personal time regularly; you find yourself stressing about work even when you’re “allowed” to have a day to yourself. Like, they will literally move on as soon as you leave. They’ll bounce back…as you’re soaring for the stars.

You want SO MUCH MORE. You want to become a CEO or build your own business to support your dream life. You have a vague idea of what it looks like, but before you let yourself dream too much, you’re reminding yourself to keep your head down and make it through the day.

This happens consistently. Some cycles it’s every day, but every once in a while, you forget about the struggle and really feel good in your life. This usually happens when you’re on vacation and is abruptly dispelled when you get back to work. It was the same for me for like 4 years. The happy periods got shorter and less frequent over the years, until I decided enough was enough. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired.

The decision to stay where you are is actually MORE of a risk than making a move is. The way this dissatisfaction manifests in your life will literally blow your mind once you fully realize it. The pains and aches you feel, not to mention the complete exhaustion that keeps you from making it to the gym is actively taking years off your life. The weird, vague sicknesses you’ve succumbed to is a huge sign that you NEED to make the switch now. The micro-aggressions you’re noticing from your significant other actually stemmed from your low vibe.

You can try to fake it, you can mind-over-matter that shit, but it’s not real and it doesn’t feel good. I see deeper. I can see how your problems connect and where they stem from, and it’s actually my specialty to guide you through how to fix it in the way that works best for YOU.

See, I spent my 6-year career as a CPA working on projects that needed a complete redo. I am highly specialized in pinpointing the problems, re-connecting the dots, and placing the cherry on top before moving on to the next disaster. I did this before I was a CPA as well – throughout college, I worked with teams of college freshmen to get buckled in and serious about their grades and performance. All my teams got A’s. Even back in 6th grade, my peers would send their projects and papers to me for editing and reorganization to turn a D into an A. I have almost two decades of practice turning shit into gold.

Why not approach running your life with the same dedicated focus that you desire to approach your work with? The only way to see actual, sustainable, targeted growth and success is to focus on it and work at it consistently, which again, is my specialty.

So let’s turn your life into gold, baby!

Don’t wait for your dreams to just happen! Read this now.

I took a long, long hiatus from facebook… and I just decided to be active again.

I needed time; I needed space. I needed to heal myself of the pain, frustration, and limitations that I was feeling. I needed to become me.

Everyday I’m becoming more and more of who I am supposed to be; of who I have always dreamed I would be.

When I left PA years ago, so many people told me I was lucky. I couldn’t understand why I was hearing that over and over.

I wasn’t lucky, I was making moves. I was making things happen. I was following my desires and the intuitive guidance that was always there. I decided to stop playing small and I decided that I was my own knight in shining armor on a white horse.

And I have been doing it ever since.

After high school, I got myself into a university that was out of my family’s comfort zone. I showed up every day for myself and took every opportunity I could to shine, crush the curriculum, and speak to anyone and everyone in any way I could. I built the foundation.

I pushed myself to break through the expectations.

We have so much clarity when we look behind at our past. I do this frequently and every single time, my beliefs are proven.

*Every single thing happens for a reason. * The bad times, and the good times, happen FOR me, not TO me.*

When we choose to frame our thoughts and beliefs in a way that supports us and lifts our spirits, amazing, incredible, seemingly impossible things happen.

This is a long-term strategy, let me tell you. It’s like investing in your 401(k) or a home. You just have to invest your resources, time, and trust into the grand vision and keep doing it, consistently, every day.

I have lived the life of my dreams since 2016. Have bad things happened to me? YES.

I’ve been passed over for an early promotion that I deserved. I have been “homeless” for a period of time. I have been dumped. I have been fired.

Each and every one of the setbacks I experienced was happening in order to equip me with the lessons, tools, and mindset that I needed to be where I am today and where I’ll be tomorrow.

But this experience isn’t limited to me. I’m not lucky.

You can live your dreams too. It’s 100% a mindset.

See, we were never taught how to BE as a human and what the experience is like within our minds as we navigate the tricky, ever-changing world.

And I am feeling so called, led, driven to bring this knowledge to those that I care about. Those who have both helped me and wronged me along my journey.

I have learned so many practical tools and belief structures along the way, and I’m ready to share it!

This year, I have been invited to lead 6 Masterclasses for an exclusive networking group in an industry I worked in as an accountant (CPA, actually). I am honored to share this wisdom, but I struggled with the idea that this group would be the only people hearing it.

Which is why I have decided to offer these classes to everyone in my community.

If you are intrigued, pulled, inspired, or led to learn more about what I’m talking about, consider if this sounds like you:
– You want the strength to overcome all the negative things you tell yourself:
why you shouldn’t do what feels right,
why you shouldn’t go after what you want,
why you should just stay in your lane and keep your head down.
– You want to stop beating yourself up.
– You want things to change in your life.
– You want your mindset to change.

My Masterclasses are going to teach you how to overcome these blockages you think and feel, inevitably, every time you think about making a move or getting out of your comfort zone and going after what you want.

All of the reasons that make you feel small, inadequate, unworthy… they’re NOT true!

Maybe you’re thinking: “bullshit, Kerstie.”

But there is a way. I am going to teach you to overcome these blockages, take the first step forward, second step, third step, and keep the momentum going all the way through the year.

Every other month, you’ll sign in to an experience where I help you pick yourself up every time you fall down or block yourself again and again.

Think about a change you want to make in your life.

How long have you wanted to this? Have you already tried and failed? Have you lost courage or momentum before you could even make strides?

Is it something big like a career change, a move to a new town? Or maybe smaller like having the drive to get yourself to the gym or stop eating those cookies, cakes, and mashed potatoes (just me?)?

We’re going to cover:
– Why this is happening
– How to overcome these pitfalls
– How to keep moving forward
– How to make shit happen that you actually, truly want
– How to take things into your own hands and inspire yourself

If this sounds like something you’re interested in, and it sounds like something you want, and you are ready to overcome your barriers to actually make it happen, then you should definitely sign up for my Masterclasses!

I’m excited to see what you’re able to make happen for yourself this year so YOU can be the one everyone says is “lucky.”

This is why Choosing Joy is a long-term game-plan, not a sprint.

Choosing Joy is a journey. Like all other lessons, habits, and theories we learn in this lifetime, it can take time to learn the practice and reap the benefits.

Taking the first steps for Choosing Joy in any and all areas of our lives can look like a lot of different things. It can be effortless; it can be trying.

For me, for the personal blockages I am dealing with right now, you can see in this video that my path to Joy today involved some tough work. Work that I didn’t necessarily want to do.

But I chose to do it. I chose to trust the process, trust myself, and keep my goals in sight. That’s the same thing the specific client I refer to in the video ultimately did as well.

And so if you do want the change, you do want the healing, you are ready to hear, and your mind is open, you know your path to joy. You deeply know what you need to do next. Your intuition is whispering – it’s up to you to listen.

It is bullshit to think you have to earn this simple thing in life

How much guilt do we place on ourselves in this society?

Really, be honest with yourself.

Ok, I’ll say it. WAY TOO MUCH!

What is this notion that we need to earn everything? Where did it come from? We need to earn fun, we need to earn love, we need to earn a good wage, we need to earn what makes us feel happy and whole and thriving.

It’s bullshit!!

Just let go! Enjoy yourself. Live a little. You don’t need to earn the fun, just go have the fun!

We just need to grant ourselves the permission to do it- and it all starts in our mind. Need help? Check out my masterclass on the topic!

Follow the adventure of your life!

Trust the adventure of your life.

The relationship I discuss in this video started with the decision to take an adventure. I met a guy in a bar who said he wanted to take me sailing, and my snarky ass agreed to go to because I wanted to call his bluff… but he actually delivered. Choosing to go on that adventure shaped the next 2 years of my life to be some of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had.

To me, the craziest thing about it is that I had been daydreaming about getting involved in sailing for 6 months before I moved to California. I was here for less than 60 days when that dream came to fruition.

Trust your inner voice. The truth you know and feel deep down. It’s guiding you on a wild journey meant just for you.

If you’re not quite sure what this inner voice is, how to find it, or how to trust it, you’re in luck because it is one of the pillars I coach on. Check it out.
