Are you a fighter? Are you somebody who always has to have the last say in an argument?
Are you somebody who needs to prove that you are right? Are you somebody that needs other people to see and understand and validate you for being in the right?
There are so many reasons why it can be hard to take the high road and not constantly get the last word in. But it all boils down to how secure you are with your self and how much power and value you give to the other person or people in the conversation.
When we live in reaction mode, we constantly spew things out of our mouth that don’t need to be said or are a waste of our own energy. Choosing to remain silent and not continue to carry on a conversation is incredibly challenging, but it is a pivotal step to learning how to control and conserve your energy.
